What kind of sources (encoders) are supported?

Invintus supports any RTMP based encoding device or software. Typically this includes most if not all hardware and software encoders including mobile phone applications such as Wowza's goCoder. Here is a list of our suggested software and hardware based encoders.

Can I upload or transfer existing video's and meta data to Invintus?

Absolutely! we have an import tool that allows you to add events into the platform in bulk. If you have many video assets that need to get added and uploading them per-event is not an option, contact us and we can give you a quote for a fully managed import. (100 video's minimum)

How much bandwidth do I need to stream live?

You need as much as your source bit-rate setting is transmitting +10% for overhead. A good example is streaming from a phone application over a 3G cell connection. You would only be able to send up to 700Kbps, this would be your optimal bitrate setting, Most mobile applications can auto adjust the bit-rate for you to maintain a good connection.

What exactly do I get charged for in a plan?

Live Stream Data is the amount of total bytes transferred from our CDN (egress) to a player. Stream data sent from your source to our platform does not go against stream data usage, Storage usage is the culmination of total stored published media in a month. This includes all media asset types associated with a published event and global assets. Media that is not published does not go against your storage usage since these unused video assets are removed automatically after 10 days.

What if go over my streaming or storage data in a month?

You will be charged the overage rate specified in your plan. you can choose to upgrade your plan for the following month by writing billing@invintus.com. If you are consistently going under your data usage for a plan, we will allow a one time downgrade per calendar year.
